Show 한달 전까지 유심 1 : 0원 요금제 [통화 50분] 유심 2 : 13,000원 가량의 요금제 [데이터 20G] 를 사용했었는데, 이제 방학을 맞이하기도 했고 집에서 나갈 일도 크게 없는데 20G까지 필요한가 싶어서 데이터 요금을 알아보던 도중, 데이터 50MB에 초과시 400kbps 속도로 데이터 무제한 요금제 4,400원을 보게 되었습니다. 그래서 현재 유심 1 : 0원 요금제 [통화 50분] 유심 2 : 4,400원 [데이터 50MB + 초과시 400kbps 속도로 무제한] 으로 한달 통신 요금 4,400원에 이용중입니다. 이 글은 한달에 근접한 시간동안 이 요금제를 사용하면서 느낀점과 이 속도로 가능한 것과 불가능한 것에 대해서 포스팅해보려고 합니다. TEST 1 우선 간단한 웹서핑은 가능합니다. 네이버 메인은 무난한 속도로 접속되며, 네이버 검색은 다소 로딩이 걸리지만 크게 불편한 수준은 아닙니다. 네이버 게시글 같은 경우는 글 위주의 게시글이라면 로딩이 길지 않지만, 용량이 큰 사진 위주의 게시글이라면 로딩이 조금 오래 걸려 불편할 수 있습니다. 하지만 참을 수 있는 수준입니다. TEST 2 제일 중요한 부분이였습니다. 저는 스마트폰으로 유튜브를 주로 보는데, 이게 안된다면 사실상 데이터가 안되는 것이랑 크게 다름이 없었기 때문입니다. 결론만 말하자면 유튜브는 240p 화질에서 끊김없이 볼 수 있습니다. 1080p를 주로 보는 요즘에는 불편할 수도 있겠다 싶지만, 화면이 작은 스마트폰에서는 240p를 화면을 세로로 놓고 보면 생각보다 볼만합니다. 그리고 저는 원래 주로 유튜브로 음악을 듣기 때문에 만족스러운 부분이였습니다. TEST 3 트위치는 안될 걸 알면서도 한 번 테스트 해보았는데, 유튜브와는 달리 트위치는 360p 다음이 160p를 지원하기 때문에 160p로만 끊김 없이 볼 수 있습니다. 240p와 160p 화질의 차이는 생각보다 커서, 160p는 형체만 보일 정도인데, 밖에서 잠깐 잠깐 스트리머들이 무엇을 하고 있는지 보고 싶다거나 한다면 충분히 괜찮을 것 같기는 해요. TEST 4 요즘 빠진 게임이 있는데, 바로 넷마블 사의 일곱 개의 대죄 : grand cross 입니다. 원래 게임은 데이터를 얼마 먹지 않아서 괜찮다는 것은 알고 있었지만, 혹시라도 안되면 어쩔까 걱정을 했는데 역시 잘되네요. 사실상 LTE를 사용해서 게임을 하는 것과 별반 차이는 안 느껴지는 것 같습니다. 다른 게임은 하지 않아 테스트 해보지 않았습니다. 이렇게 4개정도 테스트 해보았습니다. 글을 길게 보고 싶지 않은 분들을 위해서, 1. 간단한 웹 서핑은 가능, 하지만 용량이 큰 사진은 로딩이 길 수 있다. 2. 유튜브와 트위치는 각각 240p와 160p에서 끊기지 않는다. 3. 게임하는데에는 지장이 없다. 결론을 말하자면 저는 우선 나름 만족하면서 사용하고 있습니다. 한달에 4,400원의 요금을 내면서 데이터 무제한(400kbps기는 하지만...) 을 이용할 수 있고, 유튜브도 어느 정도 즐길 수 있으며 음악 감상과 웹서핑을 할 수 있으니 말이죠. 궁금하신 점 있으시면 댓글 남겨주시면 답변해드리겠습니다. 감사합니다. As you can see the resolution you decide to stream at will vastly affect your upload data usage. If you’re looking to lower your upload data when streaming on Twitch, try to find a balance of lowering your bitrate while still maintaining a video quality that you’re happy with broadcasting on your stream. Bouncing between 30 or 60 FPS won’t make much of a difference for your data usage so no worries there, but it will tax your CPU if you’re not running a powerful rig. How Much Data Does Twitch Audio Only UseIf you’re watching Twitch on your phone using the Twitch App, you have the option to watch the stream using Audio Only mode. This will greatly decrease how much data you use while watching your favorite streamers. You’re looking at a bitrate of about 128 kbit/s to 192 kbit/s when watching Twitch using the Audio Only mode. So based on that info you can estimate how much data you’ll use per minute and per hour.
You’re looking to use about 0.111 GB/hr of data when watching Twitch in audio only mode, which isn’t that far off from how much data you’d use at 160p resolution.
