아래 2060 언더볼팅 좋은 글 작성 해 주신 분 덕분에 바로 시도 해 보았습니다. 1660s 이엠텍, 갤럭시, 기가바이트, 게인워드 4가지 카드로 시도 해 보았구요,,,,,,대부분 하이닉스 램이고 기가, 게인 두가지는 삼성 램 입니다. 기존 하이닉스램은 전력 56에 메모리 -502주고 31.7 해쉬에 전력은 75~80w 정도로 구동 중이었고 삼성램은 전력 56에 메모리 1100, 코어 -502주고 해쉬 32.4에 전력 75~78w로 구동 되었습니다. 유트브에 1660s 언더볼팅 검색해서 나온 자료를 토대로 언더볼팅 해 본 결과 하이닉스 램은 31.9에 전력은 그대로 였고 삼성 램은 아무 변동이 없습니다ㅡㅡ 제가 잘못 셋팅 해서 그럴 수도 있는데 아직 값을 찾지 못해서 일까요? 먼가 방법이 있을듯 싶은데,,,,노가대가 필요
할거 같습니다. 혹시 1660s 유저분들도 시도 해 보시고 긍정적인 결과가 나오면 공유 해 주시면 감사하겠습니다. 모두 성굴 하세용^^ 692
Hi guys I undervolted my gtx 1660 super and in games temps are significantly lower but when im not playing just scrolling through the internet my temps are higher then before. Earlier it was around 33-35 degrees now its 45 degrees Celsius. So heres my question is it normal and safe for my card to increase temps like that after undervolting or did i do something wrong when i undervolted my card.
I have recently undervolted my Asus Tuf Gaming GTX 1660 (not OC version) and have gotten 1860MHz on 0.812V. Is this configuration safe for graphic card? I had played for 2 hrs in Battlefield 1, my PC didn't crash, but I am not sure about this stuff.

Totally safe. You can only crash drivers with too low voltage and that's it.

Undervolting doesn’t kill, it’ll just crash.

I'm curious, why you need/want to undervolt such an already efficient GPU? More silence maybe?

Not sure why op is doing it but I use it for lower temps, my pc turns my room into a sauna lol.

Yes, I get over 3k rpm when it reaches near 70°. It's unplayable without headphones. I manually set this configuration, because on auto mode I got near 40-50% of fan speed when it reached 70- 75° and I don't want to have over 80°. My friend also has GTX 1660(MSI), but it's much silently. Maybe because my GPU has only a single heatsink only on GPU, without on GPUs memory and VRM and fans on my GPU are smaller than his GPU fans

These cards actually perform better with a undervolt because of thermal throttling and overzealous voltages.

it helped me getting my temp from 82 to 68, lets just see if it dosent crash(i have a 1660 phoenix,just one fan, and my pc heats up like hell)

It’s ok to undervolt. Worst is just a crash.

At least in Battlefield 1, My GPU didn't reach over 63° on ultra, before it reached over 75° on low.

I was going to do this but after pulling off the cowl and cleaning the radiator properly it was much better.
Not saying this is your issue, but it's worth mentioning, sometimes we miss the simple solution.

Yes, maybe but I have had warranty, I don't want to disassemble it. I got this card in September 2020(I had a lot of luck:) ), l don't think dust is reason, because I used compressor to blow big particles of dust.

My GPU started to crash if I set 1860MHz on 0.800V
afterburner의 코어클럭 커브 설정을 통해서 언더볼팅 하는 방법입니다. (사실 관련 팁도 나온지 꽤 된 정보입니다. ) 파스칼 이후 gpu는 기본클럭 ( 1500~1600) 과 터보클럭 ( 1700~1800) 이 정해져있는데요, 부스트 3.0으로 터보클럭 이상으로도 올라갑니다. 초반에는 2기가넘는 클럭으로 동작하다가 온도가 올라감에 따라서 터보클럭 가까이 낮아지는 걸 볼 수 있죠. 문제는 쿨러가 아주 좋지 않은 경우에는, 부스트가 올라갈수록 온도가 너무 높게 올라가는 경향이 있습니다. 저렴한 버전일수록, 내부 cpu 쿨러와의 온도 주고받기 때문에 열이 케이스 내부에 쌓이면서 오픈케이스 상태와는 다르게 온도가 많이 올라가죠. 여하튼 그래서 80도 내외의 온도때문에 불만이라면 한번 시도 해 보세요.

x축이 voltage 이구요. 그 값에 따라서 왼쪽 y축이 지정된 클럭입니다.
예를들어서 발열해소만 되면. 1.25mv 전압에서 2.35기가 까지도 설정이 되어있군요!!!
이 셋팅을 하기전에 확인 해 보시면, 최대 전압이. 1.03~1.07정도로 들어갑니다. ( 파스칼의 경우) 이때 2.05기가까지 설정이 되어있지만 실제로는 온도가 올라가면서 클럭이 요동치는 것이죠.
저는 0.96V 에서 1930mhz 정도로 동작하도록 설정을 하였습니다..
하는방법 : 0.96v 에서 원하는 코어클럭으로 점을 살짝 높힌 다음에는,, 그 오른쪽에 있는 그래프의 점들을 그 이하로 낮춥니다.
이런식으로요... 그럼 그래프에서 가장 높은 점이 내가 원하는 전압에서의 코어클럭이 되는 식입니다.
이 그래프를 설정하고, 적용 버튼을 꼭 눌러줘야 하고요. 그럼 위쪽처럼 그래프가 평평하게 됩니다.
80도~82도로 유지되던 온도가 60도~65도 선으로 유지가 됩니다.
벤치마크 상에서는 부스트 클럭이 낮아진 만큼 점수는 낮아집니다. 하지만 게임상에서 확 티나게 프레임이 줄어든다거나 하진 않을거에요 거기에 포인트가 있습니다.
그리고 온도가 높게 올라가지 않기 때문에 온도때문에 코어클럭 출렁거리는 일이 없습니다.
코어전압이 너무 낮아짐으로 인한 문제도 있을 수있습니다 모든것은 본인 책임아래 적절히 활요하시면 좋겠어요~
